Community impact

The Turbo Tigers view 4x4 In Schools not only as a competition, but also an opportunity to teach and inspire the future engineers. The team hosts a couple events each year to serve this purpose and continue to expand the team's influence on the Dripping Springs area.

STEM Day

The 4x4 and F1 In Schools teams at Dripping Springs High School co-hosted several STEM Days for young students in the area. STEM Day is an all day event with many activities involving programming, 3D Printing, and even CNC machining.

Dripping Springs CSRC

The Turbo Tigers hosted the Dripping Springs Community Summer Robotics Camp, which is a new, week long camp for young students to learn the basics of programming. The students were taught in Scratch with Pi Tops to program a custom made PCB to simulate a traffic light.

Media

The Turbo Tigers have made multiple appearances on newspapers, magazines, and other mediums. The most noteworthy appearances are on Hill Country View, Dripping Springs Century News, and Hays Free Press. These appearances help spread the word about the 4x4 experience and provide more information about the team.
