In order to cover the costs involved in the world finals, a fundraising goal was set for $35,000 based on the following expenses:
It should be noted that these numbers may in fact be different from the actual amount needed, as the location of the world finals has yet to be revealed. Airfare and shipping costs are based off of costs from last year's world finals in Abu Dhabi.

The challenge greatly benefits the students involved in the competition. When the competition was first made, Land Rover worked closely with AQA and the Oxford, Cambridge and RSA examination groups to map the challenge against their Design and Technology, Manufacturing and Engineering specifications. In addition, the Land Rover 4x4 in Schools Technology Challenge has been mapped against the Work Related Learning and Enterprise agendas as well as Key Skills. As a result, the competition effectively prepares students for future STEM careers.

The 4x4 In Schools Challenge has a broad community and media presence that reaches thousands of students across many countries. Note: In-Kind Donations contribute to the sponsor tiers. The item value directly correlates with the sponsorship amount. If the Turbo Tigers gain an Exclusive Sponsor, any existing sponsors will be given the option of a donation refund, or to use the donation to sponsor the 2019 team.
